You keep your profile, skills, and employment history up to date in CV Butler. When you apply for a role, you supply the job specification, choose a PDF style, and queue a generation. The AI selects and rewrites relevant experience into a polished CV aimed at that brief. You can also run a full detailed CV when you want a comprehensive document rather than a role-specific cut.

Each CV is produced by an AI pipeline that needs a short, focused run of processing — not a click-and-download instant render. We run generations through a queue so busy periods do not overload the service or leave anyone waiting on a stalled page. That design lets us handle large numbers of CVs fairly, keep quality consistent, and give everyone a reliable experience: you submit a request, we work through the queue, and we notify you when your PDF is ready. Most jobs complete quickly; the queue simply keeps the system steady when demand spikes.

A generation pack is a prepaid bundle of CV generations (for example 10, 50, 250, or 500). There is no subscription. Packs expire after a set period — 10 and 50 packs last 90 days; 250 and 500 packs last one year. Generations are for use on CV Butler only, are non-transferable, and have no cash value.

No. CV Butler sells prepaid generation packs. You buy access when you need it — for an active job search, a run of applications, or occasional updates — without a recurring monthly fee.

A tailored CV is shaped around a specific job specification: emphasis, wording, and selection of experience lean toward that role. A full CV is a broader, more detailed document drawn from your stored career data when you want depth rather than tight targeting. Both use the same underlying profile and role history.

Yes. New accounts can upload an existing CV so CV Butler can help populate your profile and role history. Import allowances are limited per month; after a successful import you continue editing everything in the career vault so future generations stay accurate.

Ten layouts ship today, grouped by category: Corporate (Concise, Classic, Minimal, Scholar), Tech (Modern, Terminal), Leadership (Bold, Executive, Slate), and Creative (Sidebar). Classic uses a ruled masthead; Scholar leads with competency blocks. Bold, Slate, Sidebar, and Terminal let you pick an accent colour, which is saved for the next generation. Preview a sample PDF on the generate page before you queue.

Word formatting may differ from the PDF. This is a technical limitation of Word files and cannot be changed. You will be asked to accept that before the Word file downloads. Use the PDF when you need the designed layout; Word is for editing the content.

Generations are grounded in the career data you store — roles, bullets, skills, education, and related sections. You should review every PDF before you send it. Keep your vault accurate and complete so the model has the right material to draw from, and edit the source data if something looks wrong.

Anyone who applies for jobs and wants one maintained career record instead of many diverging CV files. It works across professions and sectors — including operations, marketing, sales, finance, healthcare, education, public sector, and tech — especially if you have a substantial work history or change emphasis between roles.

Your account, career profile, job specs, and generated outputs are processed to provide the service — including AI generation you request. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. See the Privacy Policy for categories of data, purposes, retention, and your rights.

Refunds follow the Terms of Service and any applicable cooling-off rules. Unused generations associated with a refunded or disputed purchase may be revoked. Check the current Terms and contact support if you need help with a specific purchase.

Yes. Completed generations appear in your account with PDF, Word, and Markdown downloads for 180 days after they are created. We email you 7 days before a CV is removed. Download and keep your own copies if you need them longer. Deleting or expiring a CV does not return generation credits.

No. CV Butler speeds up producing accurate, role-aware CV documents from your own history. It does not replace coaching, interview practice, or decisions about which roles to pursue. You remain responsible for the final content you submit to employers.
